This is not the most common form of bladder cancer as I’m sure you are aware . This might be a very good time for you to request a second opinion at a center that sees a lot of bladder cancer.. Radiation is not something to be taken lightly and I would want to be sure that this is indicated in a case such as your father’s.

If he is not in a location with easy access to such a place perhaps a telephone consultation could be arranged . I know that a number of people have gotten such consultations through John’s Hopkins

Small cell bladder cancer-PCI was created by Mimilee
My father was Diagnosed with small cell bladder cancer- pT2pN1. He had a radical cystectomy and did four rounds of chemo therapy. The doctor now wants him to do prophylactic cranial irradiation due to the high risk of brain metastasis. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m having a hard time finding any information.
