STARTING THE PATH TO RC

Hi Lotech,

I hope the best positive results, will slowly be with you. Chemo changes body chemistry, affects diet and of course BS levels

Best of Luck

Lotech,

Hang in there bud - hormonal changes during things like chemo and/or any hospitalization happen. From the booklet I was given, "Stress, medications, and changes in diet during hospitalization can elevate or lower blood glucose levels". It has been true for me, a non-diabetic, on multiple occasions when hospitalized.

I am a reasonably beefy old fart who is active on the ranch every day; take a way my exercise from chores, tie me down, feed me hospital food and suddenly the docs start worrying about blood sugar and blood pressure. It happens, no big deal, just another unexpected side benefit of BC. You do not, however, want to get things out of balance - that's hard on the body.

Do keep the goal in mind when the going gets rough. You are working on becoming a survivor.

Best
Jack

I have my moments, and wish there was another way. tomorrow I go for CHEMO #2. I hope I don't get a replay of the last one!!! ER is not my favorite place. My stomach has been acting up off and on and my sugar is up! Doc thinks due to Chemo , They are talking about insulin I don't want that , but it would be while I'm going thru Chemo. I say lets see what happens in 2 weeks. Wish Me LUCK!
