I have been following you on the forum since I joined. You definitely do not sound like you are whining. You're posts have been very informative and it has been encouraging to see your tenacity in fighting this disease. I'm sure you will do well. I second Jack's suggestion to keep us informed. We are all on that slippery slope.

Peace and Love, Dave

I read my posts, sometimes it sounds like I'm winning to me. Your right losing a bladder and ancillary parts better than death. Also even if outside bag I think I'm ready. It's funny how some things work well for some but not others. The progression to muscle invasive cancer is enough for me to start the process. Thanks for the reply! It's been ruff but I see a small light at the end of the tunnel.

Lotech,

The good news is that there is a backup plan when treatment is not a cure - I have been working at convincing myself of that for the past month since an RC was suggested as the safe route for me to take. Sucks the wind out, but it beats the alternative.

I wondered how you were doing, had not seen you post in a while. Reading the good, and not so good, in the forum has helped me be prepared for what MIGHT be the next surprise. I hate it when people just disappear. I really like the good news. I guess I need to redefine "good news" as "chooses life over bladder". Cynthia's posts have pushed me in that direction.

I take heart in comments from all those who continue to post long after a RC. Not a bad club to join. I await the final verdict on a big second-opinion workup - dare I try another bladder sparing attempt, or is my neighborhood Urologist right and the time has come.

Sorry to hear the news, but I know you will do well as you move to that new normal. Please keep us (me) posted.

Best,
Jack

Well tried all of the Arsenal, BCG, Gemcitibine, unfortunately didn't work for me.
Getting the ground work done for a RC by summer time. First 4 months of chemo. Doc says I'm a good candidate for neobladder unless my right kidney wich got blocked by a tumor dosent come back up to specs. If that happens I'll have the outside ostonomy. I feel I tried all options and although this isn't my fave outcome getting rid of the cancer is primary!
