Basically there is something abnormal in your bladder and they have no idea what it is. Let us know how it turns out and best wishes for a healthy result!

12/2015 - TURBT, non-invasive T1, mixed grade, 3 tumors
1/2016 - Begin BCG weekly for 6 weeks

Sara,

The urology community does not seem to understand that once the word cancer is said, we the patients want to move quickly. Waiting is tough.

Everything about bladder cancer seems to involve waiting. Wait for a scope, then wait of an outpatient TURBT, then wait for a pathology report. Finally get a treatment plan, and wait for it to start.

Some offices are faster than others, but there always seems to be unwelcomed waiting.

Try to remember that early detection points to the best outcomes; it seems that you have an early diagnosis.

Best,
Jack

Went to Urologist today and saw a PA. She was not a good people person. My insurance denied me for Cleveland Clinic. So anyway, I am scheduled for a cysto one month from now. I really wish they could get me in earlier and asked them to call me if someone cancels. This is the scariest thing I have ever gone through in my life.

Sarabelle,

Based on what you posted, it looks good on two tracks:

1 - There was nothing found in the bladder just a month ago on CT, and

2 - You are scheduled for a cystoscopy look-see to evaluate what may be happening in the bladder.

Once you have the report from the cysto you will have enough information to act as may be needed.

It looks like you and your care team are doing what is needed.

Best
Jack

Hello everyone, I would just like someone's opinion, good or bad on this. It would be really appreciated. This morning I had Ultrasounds and now have to be scheduled for a cystoscopy. Please answer as I am a nervous wreck! Thank you!

Ultrasound examination of the kidneys. Comparison- Correlated with CT
images dating 05/22/2016 and 08/20/2011.

HISTORY- Q6102 CONGENITAL MULTIPLE RENAL CYSTS

FINDINGS- The right kidney measures 4.8 cm x 11.7 cm. The left kidney
measures 5.6 cm x 12 cm. There is a 9 mm simple cyst in the mid to upper
left kidney. No large calculus or hydronephrosis is seen in either
kidney. Preserved blood flow in both kidneys is confirmed with Doppler
imaging. We obtained limited images through the urinary bladder. No
focal bladder wall thickening is identified. However, there is a
polypoid filling defect with mixed cystic and solid in the
anterior aspect of the urinary bladder. It measures up to 18 mm x 20 mm
x 13 mm.. I see no definite internal blood flow. This may be some
adherent debris. However, neoplasm cannot be excluded. I have carefully
reviewed the recent CT of the pelvis (dated 05/22/2016). I see no
corresponding mass on the CT images. This would favor debris or
neoplasm. Cystoscopy suggested for followup. The calculated prevoid
bladder volume was 174 mL. The bladder emptied to completion.
