Stacy I have had a bit of experience with neph tubes. When ever there was a problem it seemed that it was trial and error and what they had on hand to try. Give your Fathers health care provider a call explain the situation and see if they can help.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, I don't have anything to offer you for your cancer. I am like you, in that I try to live every day for itself. Thank you for the reminder and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the same problem about 4 years ago or so. They went in using the same site that they used for my radical cystectomy. As they also had to do a repair to my Indiana pouch. I really can not tell you how long you should be looking at for recovery or hospitalization. I do know of cases where they have been able to do blockages using minimally invasive procedures. I am sorry I did not answer you sooner but I did not see this until now. Good luck and please let us know how things are going.

My husband is to have surgery tomorrow for some scar tissue in the ureter from Urostomy surgery. He had a renal scan and the surgeon said more than likely it is scar tissue in the ureter and wants to remove it. I don't understand how this is done other than through the back.
