Hello Knut! I love hearing those double digits milestones. It encourages and reassures the rest of us that it can be done. Congrats on the Big 10!

I echo your thoughts about Cynthia and her remarkable efforts to give us all a place to bring our questions, worries, and fears. And also a place to share both our successes and losses, and where we can celebrate and grieve together because we understand the significance of each.

Take care...

Best wishes... Catherine

Congratulations! I am so glad to hear from you. Ten years is great! But I must echo Cynthia..... How about that 50 Years?

I have been cF (cancer FREE) for 6 years and I remember it EVERY day. But I never dwell on it. I live my life as normal. Rarely bringing it up. But every once in a while.....someone starts bemoaning their fate in life and griping about their challenges, and if they seem trivial enough, I tell them that a truly life threatening challenge made me a better person.

We've lost some truly great people here, and that keep us humble. I would like to see every story be a success story. Then we would no longer need this site for support. We would Just tell each other success stories and congratulate each other on life well lived.

Man, Wouldn't that be nice!

Here's to 50 years.

Knut, Congratulations it is amazing how time goes by. Thank you for the kind words and why don't we aim for another 50 years that is my plan. I want to stay around long enough to make sure I have embarrassed my kids enough.

Hello everyone.

Today is exactly 10 years since I had my Radical Cystectomy.

It was a big change in my life (to say it mild).

Over this years I have become used to live with my illeal conduit (bag on my stommack). It was a tuff time when first diagnozed and what might could happen to me. But here I am, still.

I have also met a lot of nice people with BC, especially here on this site. Some have won the battle against this cancer, and some, unfortunately not.

I will also salute Cynthia Kinsella for her good work with this website and hopefully we can keep on for another 10 years! (At least)

Sincerely,
Knut

Diagnozed first time April 1th 2004.
Muscle invasive, T3A.
Radical Cystectomy June 29th 2004.
Illeal conduit. Bag on my stommack.
