WELL , MAYBE YOU TRUE , BUT
MY FATHER DID AN ECHOGRAPHIE OF THE BLADDER AND PROSTATE IN JULY AND THE SURGER DIDN T SEE NOTHING ...

which is crazy ,
but his mistake is that he didn t go so far ,
he should have asked to do a cistocopy
( little camera optique that we put inside u to see what happen

and also a scanner

but the scanner has been made only one month after the 29august
and we can see on the screen 5 adenopathie
but the surger saw this scanner and say that all is ok ...
it s hard to believe but he wrote it on a paper ... and i have it

then one month after i decide to see another surger
who saw everything in 2 minute ...
that s why we are so surprised of what s happened ....
it s a mistake really of the first surger ,
he was not enough concentrate .. or i don t know ...
but there is clearly a mistake ..

Welcome to our site, Charly. So sorry to hear about your father. Of course, that is NOT good news.

I am really not familiar with French health care, but I do know that it has an excellent reputation. It is unfortunate that the first doctor did not make an accurate diagnosis. However, based on the diagnosis found by the second doctor, it is doubtful that the 2-3 month delay would have made much of a difference. I know that this is hard to believe, but it is probable that the cancer has been in your father's bladder for quite a while to have become so advanced.

I would assume that the doctor is recommending chemotherapy and removal of the bladder? Or maybe just chemotherapy at this point? You might want to read some of the posts under the heading "Metatastic Bladder Cance" further down in this Forum. There is a lot of information there that can tell you how patients in the US and in some other parts of the world have been treated.

I am not a doctor....just a patient also. But is does sound as if you and your father have found a competent doctor. Please let us know what his recommendations for treatment are.

Wishing you and your father all the best.

HI ,
Here my story ,
i am french , my father had some blood when he go toilette , he was going to see the surger , and this doctor made some exams , echographie / scanner , and he made a bad conclusion , he didn t see anything ... we lost 3 month because of him !!!
after 2 month i start to be scared and i decide to bring my father to see another doctor , and this doctor saw on the scanner some element of cancer ,
he decide to make another scanner and biopsie , and told us that he has to do a first operation to see exactly how is the situation inside ,
then on the scanner we saw some terrible staff .. the bladder cancer is on the stade T4 with some metastase .. it s really horrible ,

THE new doctor i found seems to be very good cause he work at american hospital in paris , but i am still scared for my father , cause it s an hard evolution ,

i would love to hav an advice from a good american urology doctor ...
