Hello and welcome to the forum... Your husband is fortunate to have such a caring advocate on his team. I can understand why his recent symptoms are of concern to you since those can be common with some pretty serious health issues as you have read. We can't offer any medical advice, but our comments and suggestions come from the school of "been there, done that" in most cases.

When was the last time he was examined by this urologist/surgeon? Was it before or after these latest behaviors that you are noticing? And, if his uro hasn't found any reason that might contribute to the things he is experiencing now, a trip to his primary doctor or an internist/specialist may be in order. While he may not "think" it is anything more serious, only a thorough exam can rule that out.

I do hope he will listen to his "coach" and go in soon to get things checked out. It is generally not normal to feel that way and if it were to be something serious, quick diagnosis and treatment is critical to getting the best possible outcome.

Please let us know of his progress and I hope he feels better very soon.

Best wishes... Catherine

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site so if I'm using the wrong forum, please let me know.

My husband had several tumors removed during his TURBT in June of 2008 with a diagnosis of micropapillary urothelial carcinoma high grade III/III with deep I nvasion of the muscularis propria and capillary-lymphatic space involvement. Stage was pT2bNoMX. His RC with studer bladder replacement was done that August.

He will be 5 years cancer free this August but lately has been having some symptoms that concern me. He has been very fatigued and lethargic and seems to sleep all the time. Plus he has been having weight loss for the last few months and even though he's hungry, he gets full quickly. He's never been a big eater but this is different. The weirdest symptom is he has been itching all over. It seemed to start with his extremities but now is all over. He has a rash that seems to come and go but the itch is always there. A dermatologist thinks it just very dry skin and has him putting a steroid cream on it twice daily. I did mention to him that I read that this could be a symptom of bile duct or pancreatic cancer but he didn't think it was.

Has anyone had this symptom? I just want to keep on top of his health and of course the possibility of metastasis is something I think we all worry about, although 5 years is really good!! Thanks for any help you can provide!
