Thanks again Mark! I appreciate the information. By sheer coincidence that is the website I spent my time researching. Thanks for confirming it is the right one!

I don't claim to be a chemo expert, but I am a hospital pharmacist so I do know a little about cancer therapy and treatment . I know renal cancers are resistant to standard chemo regemines in a lot (but not all) cases. There are targeted therapies to use in those cases that can prove quite effective. I would have to defer to the experts as to picking one therapy over another. Your in a good position going where you are and having a team of experts to guide your therapy. Here's a website I use sometimes to verify treatment regemines and doses of drugs when I see them. It's not all inclusive and any ongoing trials probably wont be listed there, but it is a good starting point.

That is exactly the question we are trying to resolve Mark. I will update once I hear the outcome from the RB (Review Board).

It sounds like you are in good hands and are keeping your spirits up. That's going to be important as you go through this.

I was wondering if they are calling this a reocurrance of bladder cancer or a new case of renal cancer. That could make a difference in treatment. Renal cancer may be treated with a new targeted drug where as bladder cancer would probably be treated with a more conventional chemo regemine. Either way it sounds like they want to nail down the final diagnosis before they determine the treatment plan. That's a good thing even though the waiting part for lack of a better word sucks.

My wife's name is Susie, but I suspect that given a little time he could guess my name and my wife's name with the cousin information and my login name. But I'm sure he's got much more important business to attend to.

We'll put in a word for you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

What's your wife's name? Just her first name because we don't want to disclose too much on the site here.
I will mention her to him when I see him next week.
