Unfortunately, these tests are not the best. They can help with a diagnosis, but are not definitive. IF cancer cells show up, there probably is cancer there. But many, many times there are no cancer cells in the urine even if there is cancer in the bladder.

How accurate are the tests for cancer cells in the urine? Dr Koch keeps talking about how test after test of my urine didn't show cancer. Dr. Gingrich in Pittsburgh seemed surprised nothing was done after Dr. Jacob found blood in my urine.

If I had any clue it was a symptom of cancer and the bleak outlook of stage 2 cancer, I would have told her either be about finding out what the problem is or I would find a real doctor. She doesn't seem to act like a replacement bladder is any big deal.
