Thanks for your nice words. It will feel good to finally be on the upswing. It has been an intense uphill haul since it all started in Sept with a blocked ureter and on to the RC in October. We are hoping the coming of spring will bring a fresh season into our lives.

If your husband's experience is like mine, you'll be pretty pleased at how fast he perks up.

And he's lucky to have someone else do the worrying. :)

Hi Joe
I just read your posts and thought about how you are doing. My husband finished his cisplatin/ gemzar week before last and is slowly becoming more like himself. We've been married over 50 years and I am the worrier in our family. I could relate to what you said about your wife and yourself. If we can be of any help to you or your wife, just ask. My husband found yogurt smoothies went down easily.

Hi Jo
I am so pleased you finally have a road forward and are comfortable with your doctors. We have to place so much trust in them its vital and we see so much of them its important to like them.
I had my chemotherapy after the RC and it hard to deal with but you will get there .My only advice would be to listen to your body and only do what you feel capable of doing.
Take care and look after yourself and your lovely wife you will need her in the coming months.
Love and hugs Claire xx

Thanks Rosemary and Sandra my wife was me with this and yes you need a whole lot of faith in your Dr's and their team to go this route but as we both sat there and listened Dr. Malkovichz he made a whole lot of sense in taking this course of treatment. We are both satisfied and actually it does make alot of sense just from the way he phrased everything and his success rate doing it this way. TYVM, Joe

Joe,

I like the sounds of this plan and the fact that the doc has had success with it in the past makes me feel even better.  I am so glad that the tests for mets were clear and now you know the situation and you can face what's ahead.

You are doing an excellent job of keeping us posted and recording the steps you are taking and this may be of help to others in the future facing similar issues.

I know you must be feeling better now that these tests are behind you.

With warmest regards,
Rosemary
