Hi,
Ciproflaxin is an antibiotic commonly used for UTI's.

So, you are having a cystectomy at MSK. That's where my sister goes, as well as many other women I know (guys too). You're in good hands...

Take care,
Wendy

I am on antibotic but it looks like its not working. Is that what Cipro is? Ellen

Hello Wendy, I do not know what Cipro is. I had the TURBT last week, I have Bladder Cancer and Urtheral Cancer in multifocal places. Yes please do as you wish with my words.

Hi El,

Sorry to hear about the ongoing pain as well as the bladder cancer diagnosis. Too bad you did not receive Cipro along with the cysto and biopsy. With someone whose history is as complicated as yours, prevention seems wise...but it's not too late to clear that UTI up.

Please let us know how the biopsy turns out. I wish you the best of luck with it!

I hope you don't mind if I move this thread and change the title, so that those with similar problems might find it more easily (ie: under 'women and bladder cancer' with a title like 'chronic pelvic pain').
I'll wait for your reply.

Hope you feel better soon!
Wendy

Hi Rosemary, I am so happy for your reply.  The OB said he saw a polyp after an examination in December.  He said I had to see a urologist to rule out cancer.  No he did not use a ultra sound.   ::)

I have been reading everything I can.  Right now I have a UTI, I had the biospy a week ago.  I am allergic to Pencillian I have a 100.5 fever and I just saw some pink staining as luck will have it I can not find the emergency number they gave me to call the urologist on call its right under my nose somewhere I just have to calm down and go back and find it I have always been a meeting person I have gone to Al Anon for 35 where I share my experience, strength and hope,  Thank you Thank you for being here I am ever grateful.  Ellen

P.S. Is there a spell check on site I can't find it.
