Robert, I am sorry you have to be here but welcome to our community. This is all very confusing and if you were not scared I would be worried about you. If it is possible you might want to have a second opinion at a major center that specializes in bladder cancer now. You are lucky and are close to one of the best at the University Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Gary Steinberg does a high volume and his contact information is at this link.

i had surgury 2 weeks ago for a 7cm tumor in my bladder that invaded the muscle and poss lymph invasion. biopsy came back hi mitolic rate cancer. i am getting a port for chemo and applied for assistance for a pet scan. my oncologist wants to do 3 rounds chemo every 3 weeks then to my urologist to look in my bladder . my options were chemo and radiation or a radical cycectomy at a university medical center in illinois where i live. i am 54yo and 320 lbs in decent health other than vericose veins. i am just not shure which way to go. i would appreaciate any input from anyone that has anything similar. thanks,
