I seem to remember that stuff used to block up the radiator pretty good too.

I still think 3 months and leaking is pretty far out of line and would want another dr involved.

Rick, when I wuz a teenager, and worked at a gas staion, we used BarsLeak on leaky radiators. I wonder if something like that would work? Sorry, just trying to get a chuckle out of a not so funny situation.

I am looking forward to the day when all this is behind you.

I had a pretty bad leak after my neo operation, but it resolved itself after about 10 days. I was told at the time that it would heal and close off by itself, but if it didn't that one of the options was to put tubes into my kidneys to drain the urine and let the neobladder heal without urine in it.

Rick, what are your Dr's telling you about the leak. Are they giving it more time to close up and if so, how much? What are the plans if it doesn't close up? They wouldn't take out my catheter until it was tested leak free. Those are the first questions I'd be asking and I'd sure want answers now. If I didn't get them, my wife would and if she didn't get them we'd send in my sister-in-law (in our family - thats the nuclear option!)

Mike, you sure seem to like those epidurals now (I'm a big believer in those too)

Well even I can dial a phone on the weekend but I can't do surgery so I'm not sure that calling on the weekend has much to do with his skill as a surgeon. Still, I guess it is what it is.
If you do require a repair at some point, I would suggest that you consider finding the top surgeon you can find. If it's just fixing a leak (it could probably be done by a general surgeon.

I've not heard anyone else having a JP drain in three months after surgery but it certainly doesn't mean that it has never happened before. Just hasn't happened to people who come to this site over the past four years that I've been around.

Also, if you do get it fixed, it would seem like you could have something like that done laparoscopically (sometimes called keyhole surgery). Tiny incisions make for faster recovery. They can even do it with an epidural.

Sure hope it gets resolved soon!
