Hi

Finally mum has been told her diagnosis.

She has TCC as its staged at G3, T2, N1, M0

We were obviously pleased when they said it was T2 and not T3, but obviously dissappointed by the N1.

The surgeon wants to do chemo for 3 months to see if the node will shrink and then he will look to do a RC.

What do you all think of that, I gather in the States, even with nodes effected, you still have RC straight away?

Her chemo will probably be Gem/Cisplatin?

We really pushed the argument for an RC, but he said you would not gain anything removing the node or doing the RC before they had attempted to shrink the cancer and anything floating about. He thought it likely with one node involved, that others would probably be the same, but at the moment it is just one node.

Don't know whether to be optimistic or not?

Moglie
