Mike
This is exactly the same scenerio that I went through. Although I did not have this useful forum to lean on.

After I came out of the anesthetic from my second TURB, my wife sat next to me and said "Would you like to know what the Dr. said?" I was sure he was going to give me the "ALL CLEAR" Boy, was I surprised to hear, "In 5 days we will be Removing your bladder and making a new one!"

In hindsight, it was the best information, but was VERY hard to process. I am sure it is the same with you, right now. But if Mike is assisting you through this then my advice is "LISTEN to HIM" A lot of us have been through this and we have come out the other side better and stronger.

Please feel free to hop in with ALL of your concerns and fears. We have all had them and the people on this forum are great for information and support. Use us as your support group. We all needed someone during this period and this group is about as good as it gets.

We're with you all the way.

I am posting this on behalf of another guy named Mike who was just diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer.

Please respond here and I will point Mike to this location in the Forum.

Thanks!

I went in to have a few polyps removed and instead was told they scraped out what they could, but now I have Muscle invasive high-grade urotelial cell carcinoma and the only recourse is to remove my bladder. I was sent for blood work, bone scans and xrays and told it has not gone anywhere else. I am in the panuic stage waiting for my next doctor apppointment. What can you tell me or who can you put me in touch with that has had the same thing. Can you explain exactly what this name means? Thanks
