Pat, Oh great warrior friend...some of us have learned a valuable lesson this week as a result of your recent struggles with health concerns. You are so knowledgeable and experienced that when something comes up with you, most of us just assume you will have it tackled and fgured out, before the doctors even get the concern dx'd. So I expect some of us held back with questions or comments initially because we didn't want to insult your intelligence.

But of course we were forgetting that when many of us go through pain and anxiety, it's like you said, our brain goes out the door. We can't think straight. The pain makes it too emotional for us. So we will have to keep that thought in mind when listening to our buds here on the forum...that no matter our experience level or knowledge, we all need that helping hand once in awhile. We sometimes need someone to remind us of something we know but just haven't considered...pain pushes logic and reason out the window. So glad to hear you may now know why you have had some of the awful side effects experienced over the last couple of weeks. Keep us informed. Hugs, Melodie

What is it about us that when we are in pain our brains suddenly turn to mush and we don't think to ask the pertinent questions? I just happened to re-read my CT scan report and realised they used Isovue-370 as the contrast dye. I've never had that one before. Nor did they tell me what they were using NOR did they give me any instructions prior to or after the injection.
Guess what?
Avoid abrupt movement or physical straining during your test and for several hours afterward. Too much movement can cause iopamidol to mix with your spinal fluid and increase your risk of serious side effects. Also to drink plenty of fluids prior to and after the test as it can cause dehydration.
Now i'm wondering if the pain i've had on the left side of my neck for the last week has something to do with a mixture of iopamidol in my spinal fluid?
I really need to worry about that right?
What is wrong with these people?
I'm supposed to know this and usually i do.....but like i said...brain was on hold!

Mike, To know what labor really feels like... lay on the ground have a friend tie one leg to the bumper of their car ,have another friend tie your other leg to their bumper, then have them drive off in different directions. You now have a good idea of what labour really feels like.
Pat, I am glad you are feeling better. Rocky

I just logged on to this site and am so sorry for you. And SOOOOO GLAD you are YELLLLLLLLLLLING!!!!! You are my hero. With all of the sophistication in the health care industry I am constantly Surprised by this Poor Diagnostic procedure. You would NOT take their LAZY ASS, LAME BRAIN diagnosis. You had to do it yourself! GOOD JOB! And they ought to be ashamed to call themselves health care professionals the way the handled this.
Imagine what would have happened to someone who was too meek to stand up and say "I'm MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!"
Sorry....Did I go a little too far with MY yelling? I'm sorry.....But I luv ya for it!
