Thanks, Cynthis, for taking the time to look up his email address. After thinking this over carefully and reading some of the posts here, I really don't think Dr. Bochner would have me wait if he thought I was in immediate danger. When I first saw him, he had my TURB scheduled within a week and my surgery was 3 weeks later. He does not wait around. CT scans can show all different things and the nurse did tell me that it was probably from the surgery.
My pathology reports showed everything clean outside the bladder and even the bladder only had low grade cells, not the high grade I had in the beginning. That amazed both me and Dr. Bochner. I am still happy I had the surgery. Since I had interstitial cystitis too, I can truly say that my life is better without my bladder than before. Unless you have experienced 30-40 bathroom trips a day, you can't imagine my happy I am now. I can even sleep through the night with my night bag!! Something I haven't been able to do since I was a teenager.
Pat, I really don't know how much of the vaginal wall was taken during surgery. He did not mention that at all so I was assuming none but I cannot be certain of that.
I am coming to terms with this. I am not going to worry and waste 2 months of my life doing that. Thanks for all of your concerns.
Nancy
