Hi, Maria
My husband had a lump in his upper right abdomen just above the waist. It turned out to be a hernia. This happened about one year after his RC. Because he does not believe in caution and the doctor doesn't like to sit on him too much it grew from lemon size to grapefruit size before surgery thus making repair much trickier. The doc seemed fairly certain of what it was prior to surgery.

Just in case yours is also a hernia don't lift anything heavy. And if you work out please be careful with abdominal exercises. Good luck and try not to worry (advice from one who worries all the time).
Sam

Maria, it looks like we are dealing with similiar problems. Since we are both put in the wait and see mode, that must be standard procedure. Maybe I will learn some patience with this encounter with cancer. We live in an instant society and it is hard to adjust.

Thanks for your kind words that you wrote in response to my question. They gave me some peace.
Yes, let's enjoy the holidays.

Holly has something like that....maybe she'll pop in..(Doc think she just exerted herself).? ...I have a hernia just above my stoma which pops out when i cough........but that would be an easy one to diagnose. When was your last CT?...Is it to soon to have another? Pat

Found a hard lump in upper right abdomen, oncologist ordered stat ultrasound. He said the the results show 'something' and he has no idea what it could be. He advised to 'watch and wait' and report any changes. Frustrating, but I do trust him and I was expecting an answer to this problem.
What a mystery this is, anyone else had similar experience and what (if any) was the outcome? Thanks.
