OK....here is my plan...I have determined that my stones which are triple calcium phosphate, per an article that Pat sent me (Pat, you are too good to me)
Anyway, the article indicates that my type of stones...these and struvite stones thrive in an alkaline environment...so, I am going to keep a daily food diary, use litmus paper every day to monitor my PH level...and that way in January when I have the next CT scan...I'll have some idea if my diet is working for me or against me. Will be interesting & educational. Chow. Melodie

Gracie,

So great to see you back on the forum. You too are such an encouragement. If I ever get back to California...I'm definitely looking you up. Thanks for thinking to ask your doctor...every little bit helps. I just know that someone out there knows the solution but I expect it to be a BC warrior rather than a doctor that reveals it. Will stay in touch. Hugs, Melodie

Sharon,
One of the BC friends I made in Everett had his neo done by Dr. Pritchard more than two years ago and has done very well. I even talked with Pritchard prior to getting my RC as a result of my conversation with my friend. He would have been interested in seeing me and doing my surgery but was going on vacation for 2 or 3 months and it had already been five months since my diagnosis. I'm glad, however, I got the Indy...works for me. Melodie

Pat,

Pat, yes, I am "special"....aren't we all? Anyway, the most recent stone was even different from the first batch...this last one was a calcium phosphate triple and was "soft" rather than hard, like all the previous ones. Of course they have done blood tests but the usual that goes with the CT scan.

The docs say this one is small enough and soft, so I can wait for awhile...they want me back in every three months for a CT scan or scope. Enough science...how about some simple, good ole mother nature cure. (Holly)...we ought to be able to come up with some natural, unaltered something. I am taking some herbal product I got from the health food store called, "Stone Free"...it's for kidney and gall stones but figure it probably can't hurt. Melodie

Hello Melodie!

What a bother, my friend. I hope that you are able to get to the bottom of it all and prevent these darn things from happening.

You keep your wonderful faith and attitude. Its infectious. You give so much of yourself.

I know you will meet this head on too and win. I am going to ask my doctor too - maybe he has seen something or knows of something helpful.

Let us know how you are doing. Take care and stay well.

Best,
Gracie

Hi Rick my Doctor was Thomas Pritchard I had my neo bladder done on Sept 18th. So far so good considering I am only out at 4 weeks. The stones I have been dealing with since I was 22, Dr. Pritchard was the 1st Doctor that actually told me what was causing them.
