Went for my weekly blood test today. They couldn't get my port to work. The doctor authorized them to try cath fluid to see if that would make it work. So they inserted the cath fluid and I had to sit there for a half hour. It didn't work. Even laying me flat above the head, head turned to the side didn't work. So they are leaving the cath fluid in till Thursday to see if it will work then. If it doesn't they are going to do something called a dye study. Has this happened to anyone else? My port is only 4 weeks old.
