done and over with !!!!

I guess I am so lucky. My leg has come back 100%. I'm up and around great. Absolutely no pain anywhere. Never had any and never hit the morphine button or took any oral pain edication. Gotta say this, I'm so bored sitting here and hoping to get released today. It's 3:30AM here in Pittsburgh. The Doc has me back on anything I want to eat with common sense. Just don't go overboard.
I hope Sailorman see's this post. Don't worry, (how can you not) it's not as bad as you think. You will get thru it with flying colors. Just listen to what your Doc has to say. He knows best and he will have you on your feet in no time. GOOD LUCK.

Hello George,

I too experienced numbness in my right thigh muscle area. It has now gone thankfully and believe excercise helped speed recovery.

Not everyone is effected by this however and if so then recovery will be different in each and every one of us.

It did take roughly 8-9 months for my numbness to fade although I still get the occassional twinge.

I hope your recovery is going well....

I found i had quite a bit of numbness after surgery. some of it lasted for months but it's all gone now.

One more thing, my husband had the leg thing as well, it was irritating at best, but he felt weird sensations for about 6 months, went in to have it checked, the Surgeon said time will do the job,, and it did!!! Nerves have a long time to heal, of course we needed the surgeon to confirm it for us,, never forget to ask if you have concerns,,,Ginger
