Don,
It seems Gene gets tired as well, it will take up to a year I think before your back to 100 per cent. Still your body was through a big change and it takes time, don't get discouraged, it will all come back....Ginger

Dear Joe,

I am with you on this one, I too feel that I get tired quickly and have general lack lustre. It is kind of in waves as one day I am bursting with energy and the next I have a dip in energy levels.

I now do my daily routine in blocks with lots of breaks which is a good way of taking the time to relax and smell the roses :)

As Pat mentioned I too lost muscle weight and this year since my RC have gained more fat weight :( This week I am joining the gym again to start weight training and do some group cardio lessons to build up my strength once more.

Tim mentioned the broken sleep which may be my tiredness problem..I tend to get up twice sometimes three times a night to urinate.

Wishing everyone lots of energy and great nights sleep...

Joe,

It took me about 1 1/2 years to get back to feeling normal, pretty much full strength (though it could be tricky to compare full strength to the strength we had when younger). I had a couple of setbacks (adhesions). My RC was almost 3 years ago. I feel great now.

I took a hike this weekend with someone who had his RC about a year ago and he's still not at full strength, though he had setbacks as well (infections).

Joe,

Hate to say this but I think some of our fatigue has to do with the "A" word, aging.
You are just a month or six weeks ahead of me, and I feel like I still I don't have the endurance I once had...but I do have a long commute each work day so I'm sure that slows me down as well. In some regards, since I follow a more healthy diet, I do have more energy but it doesn't last ...but must take rest breaks or I feel like I am compromising my health. :) Melodie
