I had an evaluation with the physical therapist last week and she really feels it is lymphedema combined with some neuropathy. I go for my first session tomorrow of exercise in the water and whatever else she does. I hope it helps. The compression stockings are helping but even with those if I do too much like I did yesterday, my right leg swells from the ankle to halfway up my knee.
I sure hope it's not anything to do with ATV but I think if it was the pain would be constant.

Just a question...have you had a doppler done on the swollen leg? My left leg became swollen in the hospital and they found i had a DVT....i'm sure thats been ruled out but felt like i should mention it. Also after surgery i had a pain that went down my inner left leg....i went to a chiropractor and he worked magic very quickly. Once in a while it returns but i know the routine and just do the exercise myself and apply the ice bags on my back where the nerve is getting crunched!! Pat

Jean : Sorry to hear that you are suffering with lymphedema. It seems that it is never a dull moment. Isn't it wonderful that your daughter-in law can help. God always provides. I had a Cat scan this week and will be taking the disk up to NYC for my surgeon's review. I have been feeling pretty well lately but continue to get tired especialy in the afternoon. I do not feel that it is much of a complaint after all we been through. My husband continues to take very good care of me and everyone tells me how good I look. I know that this too will pass for you and I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Love

Jean, my dear, you are pretty awesome yourself! Your courage inspires me, and it's people like you that teach me how to deal with any obstacle that might come my way.

Happy new year, I hope 2007 is your best year yet.

Wendy,
Thanks so much. I looked it up and it sure seems like that's what I have and now that I think about all the things my local uro said that was one of the problems he said I could encounter after having so many lymph nodes removed.
Fortunately my daughter-in-law is a massage therapist and learned manual lymph drainage and she worked on both legs this afternoon and they are much less swollen than they were and since she worked on my legs my bag has been filling so I have had to empty several more times than I normally so I seem to be getting rid of more fluid than normal.
You always find the answers for us. You are absolutely awesome.
Blessings....Jean
