Anne Marie,

I won't be of much help, but I do want you to know that I hear you. May be someone will be along shortly with a similar Dx that can give you more insight into the issues that you and your partner are facing.

Has the Doctor discussed the green bile issue with you? This is not something that I have heard of around here to be a common issue after surgery.

Is your partner not eating because of the upchucking or because he is depressed?
Depression issues are very common after this type of diagnosis and radical surgery.

You may have been told this already, but Bladder Cancer is not uncommon in wheelchair bound people. Not that this knowledge is any help at all.

Hang in there. Talk to us. Hopefully somebody will be by shortly wih a little more help with his particular physical issues.

It might be a good idea at some point to start posting in the Caregivers Section so that you can start getting some support for yourself.

Best regards,
Rosemary

My partner has just undergone radical cystectomy, after being diagnosed with stage G3 T4a bladder cancer.

He is only 51 and suffers from spina bifida.

We are from Scotland in the UK.

He has not had a good post op recovery. He was readmiited to the High Dependancy Unit suffering from a chest infection, He is now back on the Urology ward. He is 10 days post off and is vomitting green bile every 6-8 hours.

He is normally wheelchair bound, and managed up to his chair 6 days post op, but since then has not managed to get there, he is eating very little and from tonight he has been put back to nil by mouth and IV fluids.

Has anyone got any similar experiences or any advice?. I am out of my mind with worry.
Please?
