Hi Lisa I'm so sorry you have this problem with your chemo. I started with Gemzar/Cisplatin and I had an allergic reaction to the Gemzar point being with chemo anything is possible. So they switched me to the high intensity MVAC. Only one time my platelets were under 40,000 and no chemo. But with both chemos I was getting a shot of Neulasta at the end of each treatment week which is used to keep the WBC up. But if you're getting blood transfusions and they are still low what has your Dr said, meaning is he going to run more tests to find out why your count is so low all the time. That chemo can knock your platelets down below the minimum in just a day it's unreal. How far are you into your chemo and which chemo are you getting. If it were me sounds like they are really trying blood transfusins and all but there has to be something causing this and I would want some answers being you need the chemo such as I did. Good Luck, Joe
