yep

getting in/out of the car was guaranteed moistness for me. and sometimes just spontaneous leakage while I was chilling out in front of the tv! a year and a half in and my continence is pretty much 100% in the day and 95ish at night. hang in there...it'll get better

Dan,

In the begining you have to be prepared for things you know cause leaks and you have to learn to use your rectom to pinch it off as they is where your new baldder is tied. I had the same problem and would think I was doing well and suddenly a leak, mine was bad with a cough or sneeze and hard laughing but it all gets better as you learn how to control again. I tell everyone it is like being a baby again and it takes time but you are on the down hill side!

I'll be three weeks post-op on Thursday. They removed the catheter today. I was encouraged during the 2 hour ride home--no leakage. Then the first time I stood up (getting out of the car), my entire neobladder emptied. Every time I stand up, this happens, and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it.

Did this happen to any of you? How long did it take to be free of major leaks during the day? Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Dan
