Hi Folks,
I was diagnosed on Nov 5 with muscle invasive 5 cm tumor, grade 3, stage 2 (hasn't been restaged yet since surgery),
I was referred to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa for RC and neobladder. Shortly after that, I read some negative comments about Moffitt on this site, and I was concerned.
On March 13, I had my surgery (by Dr. Wade Sexton), and came home six days after surgery (yesterday, the 19th). Today, I drove myself to the beach for some fresh air.
Although I sure was uncomfortable for 3-4 days, my opinion of Moffitt couldn't be any higher. The doctors and the nursing staff all get 10 out of 10 for effectiveness, consideration, communications, sincere concern, and friendliness. They certainly know their business.
I wanted to pass this along to others who may be facing surgery at Moffitt. My opinion is that they are first-rate.
