Hi Melody, Great news on your test results, and great that you are geting back in the swing at work. And don·t worry that you think you are neglecting the site, your input has been fantastic and inspiring, and has taken away o lot of the fear of the unknown for me and I·m sure many more blc survivors.
Keep the faith, love Flamenco

Hi all,

Yesterday I went for my 3 month CScan, blood work, chest X-ray and urine sample and have been told the scan and blood work looks good. Yes! Exactly what I want to hear and expected to hear, that I am showing cancer free. I so wish that for all of you who read this...that we can all be cured and have some kind of quality life ahead of us. Fighting BC is such a chore and in my mind, after all that we go through, our reward should be peace of mind.

I finally got back to work at my company...am working a reduced schedule for right now and that is just what I need. I found it a bit challenging to face the morning rush hour traffic and the noise and activity of being out in the mainstream of life after nearly a year of staying home. I was just at the point where I felt good enough to attempt going back and thought if I don't get back on that horse now, I probably won't ever again. I was at the stage where the idea of returning to work was getting a bit scarey, so I took another leap of faith.

Anyway, I am doing fine. My Rosebud, my lovely stoma, has cooperated and the bladder behaved as well. It was great to be welcomed back by so many wonderful co-workers and my boss has been really wonderful to me. They have helped make me comfortable about my return and I think the transition won't be quite as difficult as I first perceived it might be.

So if anyone is wondering why I am on the forum less...it is because I will have less time and not because I have ceased to care. I care and appreciate this website and still wish to assist however I can.... I do feel like this place is like a home to me and sometimes feel like I am neglecting family responsibility when I don't find the time to visit and respond. You are all in my prayers.

I have a few ideas I am working on in regard to BC education and may share with my doctor at my next appointment. I am on a quest and will not rest until I have helped in some larger way to help ease the pain of others who must walk this journey. It's a rough road but could be made easier with the right components put into place. Washington state may not be one of the leading BC treatment locations, but we can at least make some improvements and I hope to stay committed to that idea until I see some changes. Well, enough from me. Later. Melodie
