Melodie I am so proud of you after all you have been through, just pace yourself, don't expect too much from yourself and it will all fall into place.

You have been away for so long fighting cancer and now you have overcome that. It will be anxiety provoking for you getting back into the working world, but you already have proved you are a very strong determined lady and you will do this!
Take care, your friend Maria xx

Melodie,
Thats great, I am so glad your getting back to business, it may seem strange for sure, sometimes your confidence levels are low because of the home bound situation we are all in during recovery. It will improve and you'll be your old self sooner rather than later,, good luck,,,Ginger

Hello Melodie,

Great news to hear that you are back to work.....

Once you have settled in to this new schedule it will be the best thing for you.

I am sure the sickness and headaches are just nerves as you get back into the swing of things.

A year out of work is a long time but remember you have been through a lot this last year.

Try not be too hard on yourself and take everything in your stride...you will be just fine :)

Focus on you and work and come back and visit when you can...

Kind Regards
Leigh

Well, yesterday I signed back into my company but with a revised schedule. I plan to work 4 hours the first week, 6 the second week and then 8. I think this was a wise decision for me. Since I have been off from work for nearly a year, doing chemo and then surgery and recovery, I haven't been out in the mainstream of everyday life. Sure, I would go get supplies or groceries and dine out on occasion but usually I was at home. This is a hugh step for me. I just figure if I don't get back on that horse, I'll forget how to ride.

It was great to see some of my old co-workers and my boss has been terrific, but hour hours was just enough time to spend there. Today something went wrong...got a bad headache and next thing I knew I was sick to my stomach and rushing off to the restroom. My Rosebud (stoma) was very well behaved and my bladder seemed fine but my stomach and head were a wreck. So I only put in a couple of hours and left. I don't think it is the flu as I have no temp or achiness....maybe just too much excitement. ??? Anyway, as time goes on and you see less of me on the forum, it will be because I am gearing back to a full time schedule. I will miss having the chance to review all that goes on here but will stay in touch as I can. Take care and know I think this forum is the greatest so keep it going. Melodie
