Radical Cystectomy

Cm,,,, WHAT IS HIS DIVERSION, A NEO BLADDER I TAKE IT,, HOW OLD IS HE?? And in good health otherwise!! Patients with a neo are usually in good shape after 6 months, peeing on their own, there are kegel excersises to strengthen the muscle. Cathing for this long is a little strange..he may need t have a conference with a doctor for additional info on his situation... Ginger

My Dad went through Radical Cytectomy 24 months ago in India.

On check up the doctor felt it was important to catheterize. So he started catheterizing 4 times a day and now he does 3 times a day but now he is not able to urinalte normally. He just catheterizes and it empties his bladder.

Does anyone know how long will it take to start urinating normally while perfoming catheterization

Is there some exercise or something that will help him with the pressure he needs to provide to urinate normally

How long do you have to catheterize and what is the frequeancy required long term.
