Scared

Thanks Karen, I spoke with a doctor after I posted who works with my Health Ins company. He has reassured me on the findings and advised me. I will sleep better for that.
He said the tests appear to indicate I have an enlarged kidney and likely cause could be blockage, which causes urine back up, he thinks due to tumor, I wasn't asking him for miracles, just some much needed reassurance. He spent a long time talking with me about BC. These were pre chemo tests, he said the kidney problem should not stop me from starting chemo.

I also have an appointment at the Shands Hospital next week, which is good news for me!

Have CT scan / bone scan results which read:

Prominent common bile duct of indefinite significance. Otherwise normal study.


I know the best explanation will come from a doctor who I will call tomorrow, but just wondered if anybody else had this on their reports.

Also looks like I have a high grade right renal hydronephrosis, not too sure of the implications of this. I will discuss with doc, but looks like kidney failure due to blockage, I don't know, I really should not second guess!! But I think it is human nature to know what is going on!!!

This makes me really angry as I was dx October, my oncologist ordered these reports and it looks to me like there has been some significant changes since last scan in November.
