Hi Lisa, it must be very difficult for you coping with the side effects, you are giving me a lot of hope, despite the challenges you are facing you are very positive.
I am due to start chemo soon and I am dreading it!!! I have a big concern about hair loss and remember reading your previous posts. I am meeting with a cosmetologist (aka Beautician in UK) through the American Cancer Society next week. I did not know you could possibly loose eyebrows and eye lashes too! I know we all respond differently to chemo. What combination of drugs have the docs prescribed? I think the weight gain may be due to the steroids with the chemo, I could be wrong and I am sure others will correct me!
What type of pouch do you have? I am now thinking of this route.
Lisa I am thinking of you and want to wish you well, enjoy your time away from the hospital and rest up.
Maria xx

Hi, Lisa -- I read your posting and I just want to send a note of encouragement. You "sound" strong and resourceful and I'm happy for you that you're subjective assessment comes out to "Ok"

Hi all
I had my last treatment of my first round of chemotherapy this morning and everything seems to be going OK.Going is a good word to use as my hair is rapidly going basically I have a few wisps left.I d not expected to loose eye brows and lashes and Saturday was a weepy moment when I took my mascara off and my eye lashes came with it.My eyes have stopped watering as much the first few weeks that was a real pain so I am going to try and get some false eye lashes to stick. My friends promised to drop some off on her way home.
I cant believe I can feel so bad eat so little and gain weight I ve put 4 lbs on over the last 3 weeks which just adds insult to injury.I am free of hospital appointments now until the 30th which feels fantastic. The pouch is doing really well and to be honest I feel Ok.
