I am just back from post op checkup with both Docters they both said to just eat easier foods to digest, Very small tasting portions. So I have no beef that is I heard hard to digest. I will take it slow for sure, Don
Since they kicked you out in such short order who knows what the diet should be???...Personally i didn't have much of an appetite as the bowels were pretty sore...that healing process takes a while. I would definately ask the doctor and i'm surprised they didnt include that with your discharge papers. My preference was lots of liquids...soups with soft veggies...eggs any style as a good source of protein and easily digested....and i remember the bananas they gave me every day. small meals several times a day as opposed to say 3 large ones. Anyone else??

Don,
Can't give you any input as my RC is not til Jan18, but wanted you to know I've been thinking of you and wishing you all the best.
Take care, and keep us posted of how it's going.
Marie
Don they should of have had you on solid foods before you left the hospital since you moved your bowels so fast. Are you home and still on clear liquid diet??? not sure what you mean here. Joe
Could I get some advice from you folks that are post op a ways, I am on a clear liquid diet for 4 days now. I think when I see docter today he will move me forward and I am looking forward to some real food. But I dont want to over do it one doc says two main reason poeple are back in hospital is due to dehidration and over eating. So were do I go from here. Thanks in advance . Don
