i thought i would give you an update on my dad. he started his BCG treatment on 1/31. so far, so good. the worst side effect he has had so far is urinary frequency the day of his treatment. he missed his treatment two weeks ago, the refrigerator at his doctors office lost power overnight and all the medication was ruined. the doctor said that people sometimes miss a treatment week due to illness so this was no big deal, they will just add on the treatment to the end of treatment schedule. other than that my dad seems to be ok, although i still worry about him.
thank you for letting me how your experience was. my dad had his first treatment today and is doing fine. my mom is really worried about him having side effects, she won't let him drive. i'll keep you posted. thanks again.
HI CLAUDIA,
AFTER I HAD MY 6 BCG TREATMENTS I HAD MINIMAL
SIDE EFFECTS.
NO PROBLEM WITH DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES.
GOOD LUCK TO YOUR DAD.LET US KNOW HOW HE MAKES OUT.

i have a question about BCG treatment. my dad was diagnosed in october with one small tumor. he had his original turbt 11/2, results were T1, G2-3. a second turbt was done 12/11 to make sure nothing left. we received the best news we could from that (the md went all the way down to the fat layer) his pathology report from the second turbt showed that there was no cancer at all. he had a stent placed that was removed 1/17 and will start BCG 1/31. my dad has been feeling good with the exception of a cold that the entire family had. he is back to normal, still has some urgency that is not as bad as it was (the md said could take up to 6 months to resolve). i am not sure what to expect with BCG as far as side effects. can you still do your day to day thing with BCG? i was so happy when i found out the cancer was out of him and was superficial and not invasive. thanks for any advice/thoughts.
