Wow, this is really looking interesting. Thanks to all of you who have participated.

Even though they have pretty much consider BC as a man's disease, I do hope soon (if they are not already) they will start taking things into consideration regarding us women and ages of both genders.

Please, keep casting your votes.

Best Wishes to all!

Hi Wendy, do hope you are up and feeling better.

Yes, you have some really good points. I guess that is why you are such a leader in this community, you never let anything slip you by :)

You are right, it still will be fun to see the results for the visitors median age.

Thanks for the comments.

Hi Alice,

You got the poll up and running, and it will be interesting to see the results. However, the visitors and members of WebCafe are not an actual representation of the general bladder cancer community. Most internet uses are younger than the average newly diagnosed person with bladder cancer, and more women seek out medical info than men do...but so what. It will be fun to know what our visitors median age is, in any case.
Good luck with your poll.

[move]THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION[/move]

From the eMedicine Health Web Page it states:
Bladder cancer affects 3 times as many men as women.

Bladder cancer can occur at any age, but it is most common in people older than 50 years. The average age at the time of diagnosis is in the 60s. However, it clearly appears to be a disease of aging, with people in their 80s and 90s developing bladder cancer as well

This is close to what I have read from many other related articles, but I am just so curious to do a survey myself. I have read quite a few post from both genders on this forum from people raging from ages 17 to their 80's.

I myself am Female and was diagnosed at age 44.

I really hope this poll turns out correctly!
