First, welcome to the forum.

You are in great hands at MDA. I live in New Braunfels which is 2.5-3.0 hours from there and are my backup plan if ever needed. I have had a few friends go there and all reports are A+.

I have learned through this and other surgeries (2 TURBS, 2 hernias, torn wrist ligaments, triple bypass and carotid artery) take one day at a time. Easy for me to say right now. You still won't know exactly what you are facing until a TURB is done AND the pathology report tells what is really going on. It is possible the doc had problems with the catheter/scope because of strictures. We have read about similar bladders that ended up as something else than cancer. Hope for the best, prepare for any that is not good. THE important item is this is treatable and beatable, one day at a time.

Keep posting as you go done this journey. It not only helps your mental state but, others learn including myself more as we go.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

What Can I expect from here? Working with Surgeon at MD Anderson. He took pictures. He could not even insert a cathater...Waiting on patology report now...He sees no spreading outside from the catscan however.
