Dinh32,

Welcome. I won't speculate with the symptoms as there are many reasons and causes for what you describe. Some bad, and some others are simply things that will pass. Waiting IS the worst part. Tell yourself (easy for me right now) it is one day at a time plus you are taking steps to find what is causing these symptoms. Until the CT scan and sounds like a cystoscopy will be done soon, you simply won't know much until then. Keep posting as you go, someone will be here with a "been there and done that"!

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Hi everyone! I’m a 39 year old non smoker who has ITP.

Last year, I experienced my first kidney stone. Two weeks later, my platelets crashed to 3k causing my kidneys and bladder to bleed. My urine was solid red. I was admitted into ICU and give transfusions to combat my platelet drop (due to ITP).

After this hospital stay, my kidneys/bladder never returned to feeling normal. I constantly have various amounts of microscopic amounts of blood in my urine. My doctor has tried culturing for bacteria (all negative) and checking for yeast. We’ve tried antibiotics and nothing has worked. When I get sick, I can tell more blood is in my urine because my kidney/bladder hurt more and my urine smells strange.

My kidneys/bladder function have changed. I have constant lower back pain (more like a dull burn)with more pain occurring randomly on one side (needle stabbing). I no longer can hold my urine as long as I used to. I often times wake up to urinate now. Car rides make my pain worse. I urinate more frequently as well and feel like I have to more often despite not urinating a lot.

I went to a urologist who is going to do a CAT on Tuesday and the camera procedure (sorry forgot the term)on 11/13. My grandpa had bladder cancer at a young age. Even though I don’t smoke, I grew up with two parents that smoked like chimneys.

I guess waiting for answers is making me nervous. Ive read what others have posted, but I guess want your experiences with the beginning symptoms you experienced.

Best wishes!
