Having TURBT to have small 5mm tumor removed- Can I refuse BGC treatment

You can refuse anything you want to refuse.

The usual procedure after a TURB is for a quick wash with mitomycin just in case there are any "loose" bits of cancer hanging around....they would never use BCG with an open wound such as from a biopsy. I just can't imagine why you wouldn't want the mitomycin wash.

I'm having a transurethral bladder resection next week for 2 small 5 mm tumors. The urologist said they are very well differentiated and noninvasive.

No one has told me including the urologist what will happen during surgery. I simply want the urologist to take out the tumors and and to have a pathology done on them.

I was told I can talk to the urologist just before surgery. If he suggests that I have a bladder wash like a BGC treatment Post surgery can I refuse that and simply ask for the bladder tumors to be removed?

I want to take things slow. But the urologist/surgeon it's kind of pushy and domineering. Can I say what I want and don't want during or after a surgery?
