Urologists are hard to get prompt appointments with?

Your experiences are very typical. As we have discussed you are not waiting too long for the TURB. If you went to an ER they would have to start all over and refer you to a urologist. They are not equipped to do cystoscopy exams or TURBs. This would set you back at least another month.

Seriously, you need to take a step back and let go of some of your anxiety. It is not good for you.

Is it normal that most urologists are so busy that when they take on a new patient it can take a long time to get the initial appointment? Also when you do find a urologist and they schedule an operation do they always leave a lot of time to wait for the operation?

I found this to be true.

However I was wondering if I just went to the ER instead I would get much faster service and my problem attended to and solved?
