You are going to have to talk to your care team about when you can have a cold one.
Beer, along a host of other desirable foods and beverages, appears on the "avoid" list given to me by my doc. The goal is to eliminate the full range of cystitis causing foods and drinks known to make the problem worse.
I had to have the talk with my doc about coffee.
Perhaps your doc will agree to let you try something on your "avoid" list, if there is no other medical reason for banning it. Good luck !
