Found a mass in my bladder. Thanks for the forum

Continued bright red blood would also possibly show not complete healing in an area. whereas darker would be "old" blood.

Manu,

The instructions I was given regarding post-TURBT bleeding was that it was normal, unless:
- the color or urine was REALLY like tomato soup, not just red color, or
- clots got to the point that urination was not possible, despite hydration and urge;
in those cases it was time to immediately call the office for for directions.

Of course, the tomato soup hit at 3 AM, and inability at 4 AM. I waited until 6 AM to call, hoping for the clog to clear. An hour later they were clearing the clog by irrigating and suctioning the bladder. It was suspected that I may have over hydrated a bit after the TURBT, and delayed healing of a biopsy site.

I hope things are better now.

Best,
Jack

Yes, that does sound like to much passing. While it may be nothing I think I would give you doc a call.

Thanks but still concerns me I have gone at least 8 times and have passed large clots and the urine is still all blood it seems. I know I'm being paranoid I can deal with the diagnosis of it is bad but I don't want to die from the procedure because I don't ask the question. Thanks again

Almost all of us experienced some discomfort from the TURB. I was warned about possibly passing a clot 10-14 days post and I did. I almost freaked out and then I remembered his warning. Also, as Sara Anne posted and I have also learned too many times (2 hernias, 2 TURBS, 1 torn wrist ligament, 1 bypass, 1 carotid artery and 1 melanoma surgeries) you simply wait. To speculate is a waste of time until ALL the tests are done. I am still kicking and probably healthier than I was 12 years. One day at a time is ALL we can control and sometimes not even that.
