You are correct that the urologist may have an idea if what this might be, but
he cannot be sure until the pathology report is in hand. It would be terrible if he hinted
at information that turned out to be incorrect.

Update:

Went in for my 3 months check and the dr said the bladder looks fine but there is something in the neck area so he did a biopsy and he believes it is a benign but it is still be set out to the lab. Question shouldn't a urologist somewhat know if it is or not? Not 100 percent accurate maybe but with their experience?

Manu,

Glad it went well.

As stated in 'Bladder Cancer - Not as Rare as You Think'
From MD Anderson Cancer Center
"Low risk tumors tend to look like mulberry or a cauliflower or seaweed growing on the ocean floor. And they have a very distinct appearance and when you see that you can be fairly certain it is a low grade tumor a low risk tumor. Often we give a single dose of chemotherapy after the reception to prevent a recurrent."

Good news ! You will have the pathology report in a few days, and hopefully, more good news. Do however, expect to be followed closely, because these things have a habit of coming back. The doc may want to do some preventative treatment. Let us know how it goes.

Best
Jack

Back from the turbt. They found a rice size tumor very small the urologist said he believe that it is low grade but of course we need to wait for the pathology. My wife said it look like cauliflower not sure if that is good or bad. Got the chemo that was the worst my bladder spasms and it has been happen occasionally since I got home but not for last 1 hr.

Thanks for all the support it really helps before I leave did anyone have a small cauliflower looking tumor.

I'm still waiting for the doctor to decide what to do. I called this morning told them I was on my way to register and the nurse said to hold on. Personally I don't like being under and would rather have the scope in his office instead of the hospital under GA. I have look up all of the stuff that could have resulted in my mass being a blood clot and somehow flushes it out. Some ok some not good. My back pain worried me but it could be just a injury to the bladder from exercise and relations with my wife. They other symptoms started after those events. I will let the forum know when I know thanks
