I had a PET Scan Today and I think looks ok.
When is the time to consider surgery and neo bladder?
Thanks,
Roger.

George,
I really feel that you have gone a long way and the thought it could be me in 8 years give me hope. The choice you took would be my best choice, I mean Neo Bladder. I have also read that it is a very difficult and long operation. There is also the need for Catheter later in the early days.
However, I would like to know:
Which hospital did you choose?
Who was your doctor?
Was it Robotic with Da Vinci?
Did you look at other options?
Was the Doctor in favor of the Robotic?
Do you need still to use the catheter?
Did you have to go with Chemotherapy?
If so how many cycle?
Could you do Robotic and no chemotherapy?
How do you feel about the Pouch?

The answers to these questions would help me to understand what may be coming for me?
I keep in mind that the Scans of next week will gave me more information.
Thanks in advance,
Roger.

I will answer any questions you may have. As long as you realize that I am not a Dr.
I am only a guy that had bladder cancer and got a neo and have been cancer free for 8 years.

But one thing I do know..... cancer is a scary thing and when I looked for information in 2008, I found it here. The people here know what it is like to feel helpless and confused. We just try to help them focus on the task at hand and help them get better.

So ask away. I may even give you a serious answer. But it will be hidden in humor.

George,
If you do not mind I would like to put together few questions to better understand the Neo Bladder as it would be my best option. Even though it is now too early to decide.
Still new to this .............
I still work full time until I know the results and the options.
Thanks,
Roger

Thanks for the information. It is too early as I have not done the SCAN, but my choice with be the Neo Bladder. I think this operation has been done a lot and if done properly should be great.
We will see,
Roger
