Estimated Costs Radical Cystectomy and Neobladder

Elfrola,
I was searching on another site (bcan Inspire) and I found some posts from 2011 but the postings ranged from $75,000 to $300,000 so it looks like it's according to any complications and different hospitals. If you know where you will be going, you might call them and see if they can give you an estimate of standard costs. Be sure and tell them it will be self-pay, because a lot of times the price is reduced.
Good luck,
Janice

I am sorry that no one has responded to your post. It's not a matter of uncaring. It is more a matter of not knowing. Most of us here have health care programs that cover the majority of this expense.
I imagine that it is NOT cheap. My surgeon was in surgery for 11 hours working on me.

Hi, everyone

My father was diagnosed with bladder cancer today and doctors have indicated Radical Cystectomy and Neobladder. We live outside the US and are not insured in the US, but we will get the treatment in the US so I am trying to get an estimate of what the cost of this surgery would be. He will not need Chemo or radiation. Any idea of what the medical bills would look like?

Thanks!
