Lsmith0122: I don't think anyone worries more than I do, but I'm sure everyone has their own worrying levels. I can tell you one thing I've learned in the last 2 years dealing with 2 different kinds of cancer, if possible, talk to a professional. It's really difficult dealing with this! Oh, by the way, I made a couple trips to the ER also about blood in the urine, unfortunately for some of us, it becomes usual. Hoping things come out well for you, this forum is a wealth of information. Jay

UPDATE: Well it has been an exhausting weekend since I had my cystoscopy on Friday to find out why my bladder wall is 9-11mm thick.Well they ended up doing a cystoscopy and a retrograde pyelogram as well. During the procedure I had some complications but was ok when I left. Saturday, I was bleeding pretty bad and had to go to the ER to get checked out. They said it was probably just irritation from the procedure. Sunday, I began throwing up at 6am and it got really bad. I had uncontrollable pain in my flank area, I passed three large blood clots and I passed out. They took me to the ER and ran some tests. The CT scan showed a blood clot in my right kidney as well as severe swelling. They gave me pain medication and sent me home after 12 hours with instruction to see my urologist asap. Then my OBGYN(who referred me to the urologist) called today and said that the labs showed a large amount of RBC in my urine and she was very concerned with my results. She said normal range is less than 4 RBC and I had 40-50.The labs were negative for any infections.I'm just worried that this could be something worst than what I had expected.

It sounds like you had quite a day. This will be short I am fixing dinner but just wanted to say that if you are worried to call your doctor it is better to be safe than sorry. A little blood can go a long way in your urine but on the other hand there is a time you need to talk to your doctor. Small clots, some bleeding can be normal but within limits. If you are worried call now.

Update: I had my cystoscope done this afternoon and man was it an experience. i thought I was just having the cystoscope but they did and biopsy and something called fulguration(correction:They didn't do the fulguration, I thought they did). The went into my kidneys as well from my understanding. I didn't have anyone with me so I'm not sure what all went on but the nurse said I had a laryngospasm during the surgery(I have them every time) and I almost aspirated. My mom picked me up from the hospital but the doctor didn't tell me what he saw or anything because I was out of it but he wants to see me Monday morning. I'm hoping it's nothing too terrible. I have been bleeding pretty bad since then so I'm guessing it's from the biopsy. Anyone know if heavy bleeding is normal? I knew some bleeding is but its a lot.

Thank you for your encouraging words:) I have eased my mind for a little while since last night. I will try and think positive until they tell me what's going on. Of course I will continue to educate myself on all the possibilities without thinking the worst outcome.

Hello
I know this is a really stressful time for you. And not knowing what is happening only makes it worse.
But in a few days you will know more. Hopefully it will turn out that you have nothing to worry about.
But even if you do, we will be here. Right now I am hoping that it is not a big deal.

If something is found, they will schedule a second TURB (biopsy) to see if they have clear margins (they got it all) and then they will set up a program for you.

But right now I am hoping the c word never comes up.
