Happy News.

On Jan 20, I had surgery to remove the large kidney stone in my left kidney, and I had 2 suspicious growths in my bladder removed and sent off to pathology. The pathology report is that the growths are not cancer. What a relief!

The doctor indicated they may have just be some sort of response to the irritation of the bladder due to the kidney stone and all the blood that was coming through the bladder from the kidney stone. Actually, I really didn't hear or comprehend much of what the doctor said after he said it was not bladder cancer.

The removal of the kidney stone went as well as could be hoped. I am currently still dealing with some significant pain issues from that procedure, but with the wonderful foundation of knowing that this will soon pass! I have several prescriptions which will get me through this recovery period, but they tend to make me very sleepy, so I haven't been on the computer much.

I just wanted to pass on to the forum that I am one of the people who had the symptoms of bladder cancer, but it turned out to be something else, a very large kidney stone.

I am very grateful to the wonderful people on this forum who provide support to those of us who are afraid of what might lie ahead. I feel that if my biopsy had come back with a diagnosis of bladder cancer, I was much more prepared to deal with that diagnosis after reading so many of the posts on this forum. Thank you so very much for your words of encouragement.
