Just remember to ask your Dr lots of questions. You have to take charge of your own self. If something feels wrong. ..... Ask lots of questions and demand a lot.
You don't need to suffer
By the way.... Ask ANYTHING here.
Best of luck

Sounds like your team is moving forward! I am given strong antibiotics after my (now yearly) cystoscopies seem to stir up some real nasties. They took two days to culture to cover any and all on the one time it happened. You'll get those beat and go forward pretty soon with your BCG. Hopefully in a few months this will be just a bookmark in your life.

I do have some type of infection. They have delayed the start of my treatment.

None of us are doctors but, it sure sounds like you have a persistent or continuing UTI (urinary tract infection). At least the symptoms are there. You do not want to ignore these as there can be more complications. Call you URO today-sometimes they need to culture it for a day to get the correct treatment. Ooops, I see you are to see the URO today. Let us know what they say

The painful urination was intermittent and the frequency was increasing some, but nothing else.

No need to apopolize... you are learning a new vocabulary with this. It is TransUrethal Removal of Bladder Tumor. You may not have had a TURBT per se but it would basically be what your uro called the biopsy. It is done under anesthesia and if visible tumors are present, they are removed with a probe with a heated loop on the end, along with surrounding tissues, and any other suspicious areas biopsied. The tumor/samples are then sent to pathology for diagnosis.

Did you have any of these painful symptoms prior to your initial uro visit, or only since your biopsy?

Best wishes... Catherine
