A new networking group for all bladder cancer patients, their families and friends has been established in Detroit, Michigan -- the Detroit Bladder Cancer Network (DBCN). The group will meet at either The Henry Ford Health System or Karmanos Cancer Center on a rotating schedule.

The group will meet on Thursday January 17th at 4:30 pm at Henry Ford (details below) and pre-registration is requested. Topics are: Surveillance & Ongoing Care (Dr. Ulka Vaishampayan) and Coping With the Fear of Recurrence (Dr. Michael Ryan).

The Detroit Bladder Cancer Network (DBCN) is a joint partnership between the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center and the Josephine Ford Cancer Institute of the Henry Ford Health System. The network is dedicated to increasing awareness of bladder cancer and providing education and support to bladder cancer patients and survivors, their families and the community.

Quarterly meetings will be on the 3rd Thursday every 3 months from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
