Just want to wish you luck in your bc journey. There are a lot of us who have been through it and are still here to talk about it. I had stage 3 muscle invasive in June of 08 and am now cancer free. My oncologist says I am not curred for a few more years.
My son just moved to Fayetteville, he is a greyhound trainer and is helping to start a breeding and training farm there. He says it is beautiful country.
Good luck
Barbara

Wow, its a small world. I also was EE dept though worked only with master and PHD candidates in the HIDEC(your son will know this)and other microelectronics fabrication facilities there, mostly as Lab Manager. Got my experience in this starting in the mid 70's at Silicon Valley. Its ironic that now I wonder about all of the chemicals that I worked with then that were slowly banned in USA that were known cancer causing chemicals. I can vividly remember all of us technicians then wondering if we should be breathing this or that of touching this or that without protection or more protection than we had. It was a new industry that we were the first to experience long term exposure to many materials, gases and chemicals. But, most of us knew the micro-chip labs we were supporting were going to change the world as we knew it, that excitement and being young made us seem bullet proof. And look at us now, being able to communicate important things like this instantly all because of the chip. But, HAHA at the end of the day it was probably the 40 years of smoking that was culprit for me on this. Funny how smokers always point in other directions...I have been smoke free mostly since March.

If you guys are in Fayetteville during football season, please contact us, my wife works for Razorbacks and we try hoarding tickets for family and friends, ha. The Razorback family has been wonderful in support of my recent set back on this. Our past AD is helping me to get on fast track to MD Anderson in Houston for second opinion. Thank yall for your messages and this HOG will be fighting for sure.

Thank you Sara Anne for your message. This site has been so helpful. It especially has gotten me quickly past feeling sorry for myself upon learning I had BC. I decided quickly to use that energy to become more proactive in forming my game plan and who the players will be on my team, it feels great for all of us to think we are all on each others team here, that is what I find most useful here for me on this site. I am curious where in China you were going and if it was business or pleasure or both. As you know i have lived near Shenzhen in China for most of last 4 years. Thank you and others for all you do...

Thank you Steve for your reply. I guess we all have hoped upon learning of having BC, that there is a silver bullet some where. We have all become spoiled with seemingly being able to find answers on internet for most anything. I am rushing now to try and get into MD Anderson in

Hey, sorry to hear about the problems, which all seem so painfully familiar. The BCG is the standard, and it works so well that there doesn't seem to be any other treatment on the horizon. I consider myself beyond Lucky to have had that option. I don't know of any homeopathic treatment that is proven like bcg. (I'm not sure, but I think Steve Jobs tried homeopathic treatment). One other suggestion: if it isn't green, don't eat it (and I avoid wheat too). Steve
